I wanted to make a change to this office space after a few seasons of the brighter color palettes.
To see the last rounds of renovations in this space, check out our Bring The Outside In | Home Office, DIY Minimalist Desk, and Indoor Plants for Home Office posts. A couple pictures below show how my home office last looked like, characterized by a bright and airy aesthetic: light wall paint, natural wood (several DIY items), and a lot of plants. Lately, I've found inspiration in the moody palettes featured in various interior design sources. Green and blue are what I was going for. I love a dark navy background and after some research on popular dark paint colors, we went with Benjamin Moore's Hale Navy. That would be a nice background for a lot of plants already in the space as natural wood furniture pieces. My goal was to give this space a sense of calm, focus. and creativity.
So here we go! Of course Ales, Chief Operations Officer of our household, did it all! Painted the walls and made a few wall shelves for my books.
Round 2 a few months later after I realized I needed more space for my books.
